Colorado and Denver Graffiti Facts and Information
Yes, Denver and the surrounding areas have a GRAFFITI problem. You can learn more about how to deal with this community and property owner problem by reading the information that we have found and reposted here for your convenience.
Below is an entire building one city block wide graffitied by many different taggers. Located at Jewel and Acoma in Denver, taken on May 20th, 2013.
Above is what is known as a “permission wall” where the taggers are actually allowed to paint and repaint these walls continuously.
There is controversy in allowing permission walls such as these, but once the property owners give their blessings as they have here, then it is no longer illegal. For more on this subject and this very location, please go to:
Some say that by allowing these artists to have some real space to show off their artful abilities, that it cuts down on the amount of graffiti happening illegally in the near by neighborhoods. There are others though that feel that permission walls only encourage more illegal tagging. Colorado Graffiti Busters doesn’t want to take sides here, but we want to at least make you aware that there are many alternatives to Graffiti and how to possibly control it.
